Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly professional Staff Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for multiple accounting functions supporting our sales, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation and month-end processes. These duties will include, but not limited to, supporting accurate sales reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close. Manage receivables and collections, prepare tax filings, and support audits. Maintain fixed assets, account for leases, and review travel and expense reports. Ensure detail, accuracy, clear communication, and confidentiality in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Revenue Support: Review daily sales for accuracy. Assist clinic employees with sales and payment processing issues. Reconcile weekly and monthly sales and accounts receivable.
  • Bank and Accounts Reconciliation: Reconcile bank accounts. Participate in monthly financial close process (account analysis, reconciliations, journal entries, balancing accounts).
  • Accounts Receivable and Collections: Monitor accounts receivable balances. Assist with collection efforts.
  • Expense Management: Assist with travel and expense report review and approval
  • Financial Reporting and Compliance: Prepare property tax returns. Prepare state and local filings. Assist with annual preparation of 1099s. Assist with annual audit.
  • Fixed Assets and Leasing: Assist with maintaining fixed assets. Assist with accounting for the leasing portfolio under GAAP (ASC 842).
  • Other Duties: Perform additional tasks, duties, and responsibilities as needed or assigned by leadership to support departmental and organizational objectives. Participate in other ad-hoc accounting related projects.

To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or other related field required
  • Minimum one year of experience performing general accounting functions required
  • Minimum one year of general ledger, multi-unit experience required
  • Ability to independently manage multiple, ongoing tasks and duties required
  • Advanced level experience with Microsoft Excel required
  • Knowledge of common accounting practices and procedures, including a solid understanding of GAAP required
  • High attention to detail and accuracy required
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment required
  • Ability to use time management and problem-solving to meet strict deadlines required
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-functional team required
  • Strong initiative and self-starter capabilities required
  • Strong problem-solving skills required
  • Collaborative, team-oriented, and adept at building positive and influential relationships required
  • Experience with Accounting ERP software preferred
  • Knowledge of sales and accounts receivable processes preferred
  • Google Sheets and Google Docs experience preferred
