Position Summary:

Manage daily interactions across all social media platforms, acting as the voice of the brand. Monitor high-volume of interactions, respond, document, and report engagement, reputation management, and customer service goals. Ensure consistent brand voice, escalates emerging issues appropriately, and collaborates with internal teams to drive resolution.

Responsibilities:

  • Community Engagement & Moderation: Serve as the primary responder to comments, messages, and mentions across social channels. Foster a positive, engaged online community aligned with brand values. Monitor conversations and proactively engage in relevant discussions. Respond to potential public relations issues or customer service concerns with professionalism. Encourage and amplify user-generated content. 
  • Brand Voice & Communication: Maintain a consistent voice and tone in all interactions, adhering to brand guidelines. Exercise sound judgment when representing the brand publicly. Adapt communication style for various platforms and audiences. Participate in brand storytelling by appearing in organic social media content, such as videos, photos, and behind-the-scenes features, in alignment with content strategy and brand voice.
  • Issue Escalation & Resolution: Identify and escalate emerging concerns or risks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement resolution strategies. 
  • Insights & Reporting: Track and analyze community engagement, sentiment, and trends. Provide regular reports and insights to internal stakeholders. 
  • Platform & Industry Expertise: Stay current with platform updates, industry trends, and best practices. Use social listening tools and community management platforms to support engagement and insights.
  • Other Duties: Perform additional tasks, duties, and responsibilities as needed or assigned by leadership to support departmental and organizational objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or related field OR equivalent combination of education/experience combined (One year of experience equals one year of education) required
  • Professional experience in social media or community management preferred
  • Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences required
  • Strong understanding of major social media platforms and their unique communities; Proficiency with Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Reddit, LinkedIn, and X (Twitter) required
  • Comfortability and willingness to be featured in organic social media content for the brand required
  • Experience with multi-unit and service-based consumer brands preferred
  • Experience handling sensitive situations and customer concerns with professionalism required
  • Ability to work in a process driven, and fast-paced environment and respond quickly to emerging trends required
  • Excellent judgment when representing the brand in public forums required 
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with marketing, PR, and customer service teams required
  • Knowledge of social media analytics and reporting tools required
  • Experience with social listening tools and community management platforms preferred 
  • Experience with Salesforce and Sprout Social preferred
  • Crisis communication experience preferred
  • Understanding of content moderation best practices preferred
  • Experience managing communities during product launches or campaigns preferred
  • Knowledge of social media compliance and regulatory requirements preferred
