Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly professional Staff Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for multiple accounting functions supporting our sales, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation and month end processes. These duties will include, but not limited to, sales review, posting expenses & revenue and general ledger functions including reconciliations. You will be working directly with the Clinic Managers providing them with world-class customer service.
The ideal candidate possesses excellent relationship building skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and the desire to advance in a rapidly growing company. This is a great opportunity for a self-motivated individual to take charge and own the accounting process.

Status: Full-time
Location: Omaha, Nebraska
Hours: Hours are flexible, but will need to range within 7:30-5:30 M-F
Reports to: Lead Staff Accountant

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Review daily sales for accuracy
  • Reconcile bank accounts
  • Assist Clinic Managers with sales and payment processing issues
  • Reconcile weekly and monthly sales and accounts receivable
  • Participate in monthly financial close process, including account analysis, account reconciliations, preparing
  • journal entries, and balancing accounts
  • Prepare property tax returns
  • Assist with maintaining fixed assets
  • Assist with accounting for our growing leasing portfolio under GAAP Accounting (ASC 842)
  • Monitor account receivables balances and assist with collection efforts
  • Assist with annual preparation of 1099s
  • Prepare state and local filings
  • Assist with annual audit
  • Assist with T&E expense report review and approval

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred
  • Minimum one year of experience performing general accounting functions
  • Minimum one year of general ledger, multi-unit experience
  • Ability to independently manage multiple, ongoing tasks and duties
  • Advanced level experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of common accounting practices and procedures, including solid understanding of GAAP
  • High level of technical aptitude including high proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Docs
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to use time management and problem-solving to meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-functional team
  • Strong initiative and self-starter capabilities
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Collaborative, team oriented and adept at building positive and influential relationships

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Accounting ERP software
  • Knowledge of sales and accounts receivable processes preferred
  • Good familiarity and experience with and Google Sheets & Google Docs
